GRAS is an independent service provider, who possesses extensive expertise in latest remote sensing technologies and database use for social and ecological risks. We bring firsthand knowledge of the coffee industry, having implemented projects in coffee-producing countries, and are affiliated with 4C as a sister company.

Our team has substantial experience in conducting risk assessments and identifying and monitoring changes in land use through remote sensing and geodata. We specialize in the development of monitoring tools, such as those designed for large-scale data collection and analysis in the production areas of smallholders. Our science-based approaches include environmental and social issues such as political and labor-related topics, provide global coverage and apply to multiple crops and sectors, supporting the clients from the private and public sectors for more than 10 years. The development of GRAS has been supported by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture through the Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR).

Our capabilities include the implementation of DKV risk analysis based on the criteria of the German Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetzt (LkSG), as well as the DKV grievance mechanism Ear4U.
