The EUDR Legislation List is your map to navigating this legal landscape. Wondering about the relevant legislation that shape coffee production in 18 countries? The EUDR Legislation List is a curated collection of almost 500 crucial laws, ensuring your coffee was produced in compliance with the regulations of its country of origin.

The EUDR Legislation List is based on research to identify relevant national legislation for topics mentioned in Article 2(40) of the EUDR, for 18 selected coffee-producing countries.

The research includes the structured query of recognized databases provided by international organizations, e.g. FAO, UN or ILO as well as an extended search on national databases. In addition, the research was complemented by an extensive systematic online research. As a further reference, data and information from local experts, working in the context of certification processes and audit conduction for the 4C certification system, was used as an additional source. All results from the research phase have been reviewed and evaluated against the relevance for the coffee sector in the context of the EUDR.

The final list of legislation is presented in excel as a list per country. Each country specific list is structured according to the topics mentioned in Article 2 (40) of the EUDR. For each legislation, the title, a summary of the content and a list of key words is presented.

Our team has substantial experience in conducting risk assessments and identifying and monitoring changes in land use through remote sensing and geodata. We specialize in the development of monitoring tools, such as those designed for large-scale data collection and analysis in the production areas of smallholders.
